Enjoy Christmas Lights in Paris
Even without trying, you will notice the Christmas lights for sure. However, that being said, there are a couple of places that you will probably want to drop by.
The Champs Elysées Avenue
A must-see place for everyone. Especially for those, who love Christmas lights (there are more than 100,000 light bulbs).
The Avenue Montaigne
When you visit the most luxurious street of Paris - avenue Montaigne you can see that Paris truly lives up to its name 'the City of Light'. As usual, this year again the famous avenue is adorned with garlands and trees for our greatest joy.
Some other smaller light installations are scattered all around the city. The most famous ones are located at Village Royal at 25 rue Royal, 75008 and at Place Vendôme.
Go Window Shopping
Each year Paris is blooming with lights, music, snows, and animations in their store window displays. All of them have different Christmas themes, for example, Hollywood glamour. There are festive opening nights as well once the new displays are shown for the very first time.
One of our favourite places for window shopping is The Christmas Beehive at the where you can find the best Christmas gifts at Boulevard Haussman Galeries Lafayettes. While you are there, enjoy the giant Christmas tree with a Queen Bee proudly illuminating the tree from the top. The lights go off and come back again and it is a truly stunning view.
Another place that you might want to stop by for window shopping is Printemps. Every year the shops' windows become animated theatrical shows with colourful displays.
Time to Get Cozy with Hot Chocolate
After long walks around festive Paris, it's time to get all cozy and warm. Winter is the best time to enjoy your favourite bakeries. Not only for their delicious treats but also for a warm and stylish interior. Treize au Jardin is one of those places where you can chat with your friends, take some stunning photos for Instagram or simply enjoy your favourite book.
Do not miss out on eating traditional winter and Christmas food (Raclette, Buy a "Bûche de Noel" from boulangeries or brands like Ladurée or Pierre Hermé).
Listen to a Christmas Concert
You will find quite a few stunning concerts during the festive time. We recommend checking out Madeleine church, St. Chapelle, and St Germain des Pres.
Take a Trip to Disneyland
Every year Disneyland creates a thematic show specifically for Christmas. If you want to experience the true fairytale in real life, this is the place to go.
